These chapters start right after David is beaten. He is
dragged away by someone he doesn’t know. After they talk he is so surprised to
see its Sophie. This is interesting that the writing uses little/not main
characters at the beginning of the novel and then uses them later. Later Sophie
takes David back to her “house”. They talk about why David is here. Sophie is
at unrest she is acting very odd. She is very curious about Rosalind. But not
as interesting in Petra. They talk more David get Sophie to go rescue Rosalind
and Petra. Once they return Sophie isn’t happy with Rosalind. It is very odd.
Sophie says they should hide out here because as soon as they find out Rosalind
and Petra are gone they are going to search. I find it interesting that Sophie
is helping them. I wonder if it is because of what David did for her. Or if she
still likes David. David also has been communicating with Michael to tell him
once going on. And Petra has been telling thing to Rachel because she is out of
range. Rachel is also very sad she is the only one that is left in the town.
They Fringes and the town people are having a mini battle little ambushes are
try to be had but aren’t successful. Then there is a huge plan from the Waknuk
people and then start attacking. They push the Fringe people into there little
town. The Spider-man has a bow and aims for David’s father and kills him. But
then the Spider-man and Sophie are both shot and killed. After that I though
that David, Petra, and Rosalind were going to be found and taken home. But
Petra’s friend comes through and with an airplane and sends spider wed stiff
down and it sucks everyone to the ground including Michael, David, Petra, and
Rosalind. But the lady has some special spray to the relieve them. I that that
was pretty cool because we don’t even have that. Then it ends with Michael
wanting to go to Waknuk and get Rachel and take her to this Sealand. But the lady
says no because they don’t have enough gas. But in the end he choose to go back
for her and that he will find the place. I think over all this wasn’t a bad
ending. I am curious to know if Rachel and Michael will make.

Chapter 13-14
Throughout this chapter David, Petra, and Rosalind have many
narrow escapes. Also Petra has a conversation with a person far away in
Sealand. She find more and more about them. Then at the end of the chapter David get
landed on and get knocked unconscious. At the start of chapter 14 we learn that
David, Petra, and Rosalind have been taken prisoners by the fringe people. Once
they make it to the head master or the leader. David sees the spider man again.
He learns that he is his uncle. The spider man questions them and Rosalind
breaks. Then David attacks and is sent off.
In this chapter I found it interesting that David and
Rosalind could communicate with the women from Sealand. I wonder how far there
range is? It is also interesting in this chapter when David and Rosalind are
talking to the women she says Zealand so Petra is actually right. I wonder how
far they are away; they have to be close if David can talk to them. I am
curious to know how David, Rosalind and Petra are going to meet up again. I
think the Zealand people will end up saving them. I also wonder if we will meet
Sophie again because we are in the Fringes will she be there.

Chapters 11-12
Throughout chapter 11 we learn that Petra can speak
telepathically very strongly. Her shapes are very loud and bright hearting
everyone she sends them to. Later Petra uses her strong power to bring the
whole group to her. I think that was a huge mistake later we learn it was. When
the group said that only David and Rosalind should be the only ones to respond
to the sign I think that was a very good idea. . Also in this chapter David
teaches Petra how to speak telepathically. She is very quick to pick up on it.
I still think see can do more then the others. Later in this chapter Uncle Axel
and David have a talk. David doesn’t really see the danger his is in until
Michael actually tells him. Michael tells them to pack and be ready to run.
Then right at the start of chapter 12 Rosalind wakes David and says they have
to run Sally and Katherine are caught. To me this was coming but was unexpected
to happen in this chapter. When they're running Michael is being very helpful
he is being apart of the search and miss leading people. But it is awful what
happens to Sally and Katherine I hope they can get away later. As David and
Rosalind are running and they stop for the night Rosalind kills a man. We know
that this is going to cause trouble but I think it was the right call. But when
they are running it seem that they are moving very slow and talking there time.
They need to go faster. Near the end of the chapter Petra is getting sign from
some very far away. No one else can pick up them. I wonder if this is foreshadowing
and if they are going to get the Sea-land. Then at the end of the chapter they
are seen are they going to get away?

Chapters 9-10
In chapter 9 we learn that David’s little sister Petra has a
different kind of telepathic power. I think that she can control people and can
hide here ability from they others but can still hear the conversations. I want
to learn more about her ability. Then later in Chapter 10 we read the Anne one
of the telepathic people is getting married to Alan. Every single one of the group
members thinks this is a bad idea. I agree with them all it could bring is
trouble. It is interesting the conversation David and Uncle Axel have. He basically says we have to kill one of them.
David doesn’t want this to happen I think David did the right thing. But later
in the chapter we here Alan is killed. But no one noes who did it. My guess
would be Uncle Axel because he must know something we don’t. But I am curious
to why Anne would kill herself and write a letter to the inspector. Is there
that much hate between her and the group? Also wouldn’t it be more effective to
tell the inspector herself? Because if her life didn’t matter that much why wouldn’t
she make sure she would get them all caught? But I think it is a huge relieve
to all the telepathic people that Alan is gone because lest chance of a leak.
But I am still very curious to what role Petra will play.

Chapters 7-8
In chapter 7 it is interesting when David’s mom has a baby
they pretend it doesn’t even exist until the certificate is sign. It is
interesting how serious a deviation is. Later I am curious to why Aunt Harriet
would even come to ask to switch babies. Doesn’t she know David’s father would
never approve this. But in this chapter I do like how Aunt Harriet talks to
David’s father with no hesitation and very firm. When she says, “I am not
ashamed but beaten”. I wonder why Aunt Harriet didn’t just run away with the baby
rather then kill her self. In chapter 8 David realizes that he is a “mutant” in
a way. It is a good thing his Uncle Axel notice a bit of unrest in David or
something very bad could have happened. Also in this chapter we find out about
how the one boy went missing because he had an accident and was kill. I wonder
if this I completely true. Also in this chapter we learn Uncle Axel doesn’t agree
with the definition of man. He thinks it should deal with the mind no the body.
Near the end we learn who the other telepathic people are; Michael, Sally,
Katherine, Mark, Anne, Rachel, Rosalind, and David. The book also say later
they find out there is a 9th witch will Petra.

Chapters 5-6
In chapter 5 a boy named Alan finds out about Sophie’s foot.
I didn’t see this as a surprise it was coming. Also in this chapter I want to
know what happened to Alan after his was hit with the rock and his head was
bleeding. Did he make it back and tell people? I think that David did a really
good job trying to protect Sophie with spilling the water and fighting and
staying at their house. He really cares about her I’m curious to see when they
meet again. I also think that the inspector has the right way of asking
question because he actually going to get answers. Also in this chapter David
realizes that the sixth toe doesn’t mean anything. Then in chapter 6 with was
interesting that David talks to his Uncle Alex about running away. But his
uncle basically says to him that everywhere else has deviations. What also is
interesting is when Uncle Alex says that all the deviations have the same
definition of the “old People”. It is weird that they everywhere else are
badland and filled with deviations beside where they are. I wonder if people in
other parts of the country think the same thing. But one part I found super
interesting is when his uncle quotes “you find that the bible doesn’t say
anything about… a definition of man.” This is super crazy because then why do
the people have a definition of man? It also is interesting when David tells
Uncle Alex about the 8 others who speak telepathically. David trusts his uncle
a lot. I also am curious to learn about the one boy that they haven’t heard
from in a mouth.
