Chapters 5-6

In chapter 5 a boy named Alan finds out about Sophie’s foot. I didn’t see this as a surprise it was coming. Also in this chapter I want to know what happened to Alan after his was hit with the rock and his head was bleeding. Did he make it back and tell people? I think that David did a really good job trying to protect Sophie with spilling the water and fighting and staying at their house. He really cares about her I’m curious to see when they meet again. I also think that the inspector has the right way of asking question because he actually going to get answers. Also in this chapter David realizes that the sixth toe doesn’t mean anything. Then in chapter 6 with was interesting that David talks to his Uncle Alex about running away. But his uncle basically says to him that everywhere else has deviations. What also is interesting is when Uncle Alex says that all the deviations have the same definition of the “old People”. It is weird that they everywhere else are badland and filled with deviations beside where they are. I wonder if people in other parts of the country think the same thing. But one part I found super interesting is when his uncle quotes “you find that the bible doesn’t say anything about… a definition of man.” This is super crazy because then why do the people have a definition of man? It also is interesting when David tells Uncle Alex about the 8 others who speak telepathically. David trusts his uncle a lot. I also am curious to learn about the one boy that they haven’t heard from in a mouth.

Chapters 3-4

Throughout these chapters David and Sophie’s relationship grows. David doesn’t seem to have very many friends his also is very independent. Witch I think will help him later in the book. Also in these chapters David gets a splinter and it starts bleeding so he goes to clean it. His mom get frustrated and he says I could have done it myself if I had a third arm. He father get very angry and makes David pray for forgiveness. I am curious to why they all see abnormal things really bad. We also learn that David can speak telepathically. I wonder is this ability will affect Sophie. I also think David has to be more care with this ability because he already got caught once. But he was caught by the right person. I also wonder how David doesn’t see the ability to speak telepathically as an abnormal thing. Then later in the chapters they district is attacked by the Fringe people and two men are taken prisoners. One man that looks almost exactly like David’s father. I think this man will play a huge roll later on in the novel.

Reflextion: Chapters 1-2

At the start of the noval the writer sets the seen of a town split into districts. Its seems verry odd it also is very dark. David the protagonist is a a middle teen boy who is know for miss behaving. David has dreams of a unknow place. HE tells his sister she said never to talk of it again. He also takes about Sophie and how she charge his life.It started when he he went for a walk and they met. Then they jumped in to sand and then sophie got her foot stuck in a trap. David tries to help but she doesnt want it. But finally she gives in. David learns that she has six toes but doesnt really notice. When they got back to shopies house David had to prosimes not to tell anyone about her foot. he ask if he can come back sometime. He is aloud but no one is to see him. David goes home and we learn about his family and that his uncle/ aunt live with him. David also has a awful view on how people are made. I think something really bad is going to happen to David and Sophie. I also thing people are going to find out about Sophies toes when they shouldnt.
